Three days before the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games on 26 July on the Seine in Paris, the flame will pass through the towns of Mantes-la-Ville, Poissy, Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Rambouillet for segments of 3 to 5 km, Saint-Rémy-les-Chevreuse, Les Mureaux and Guyancourt (at the national golf course), for segments of 1 km.

Saint-Germain-en-Laye, labelled a "Land of Games" in 2019, has been chosen by TEAM GB, one of the most medal-winning teams at the Summer Olympics, for its preparation from 2022 to 2024. The qualitý of the top-level sports facilities, the ideal living environment and the location closé to the Paris 2024 competition venues in ST Germain en Laye appealed to the team.

A sporting city, with the emblematic Paris-Saint-Germain football club, but also a city of history, with a long history as a royal city and an exceptional natural heritage? It is also one of France's most international cities.
